WE STAND IN SOLIDARITY: BLACK LIVES MATTER

These have been a very difficult couple weeks and we are heartbroken. As if the pandemic hasn’t put enough pressure on us all, and claimed so many lives, we continue to deal with the evil repercussions of a system that is rooted in some awful truths. And these truths continue to be amplified more than ever by the most recent and tragic murders of George Floyd, Ahmaud Arbery, and Breonna Taylor.

One thing that truly resonated this week were Killer Mike’s words when he addressed what’s going on; “We must plot, plan, strategize, organize and mobilize.” It starts with signing the petitions, calling officials, demanding justice, donating if you can, march if you can, and taking it upon yourself, if you’re white, to educate yourself on what white privilege actually is and understand how the system is designed to align with that privilege. We also need to VOTE.

This has to stop. The violence, brutality and RACISM. This has gone too far, for far too long. Enough is enough. And while even as we all unite as decent HUMAN BEINGS, the task at hand to initiate change is overwhelming, but if we mindfully engage, and don’t let up, LOVE can be louder than HATE. Keep the cameras rolling on these motherfuckers, expose the murders and police brutality, and please keep safe — we know a lot of you are putting yourselves in harms way.
